How do I monetize my blog? You don’t.

Greetings.

Today’s topic is courtesy of  of Driving Traffic. Have you ever wondered how to monetize your blog? Well, don’t! A blog serves many purposes, but making loadsamoney from it really should not be one of them.

Kevin’s article explains more, and provides some ideas on what you should be doing…

How do I monetize my blog? You don’t.

By  on February 18, 2013

So you have decided to make some extra money online. You followed the steps and got your domain, hosting, CMS, theme, social media, and the list goes on and on. You finally start blogging; only to find out, the money isn’t cascading in. What’s going on here? You’ve been told that millionaires are made everyday online. You were told, “If you build it, they will come”. You have followed all the steps you knew of, and the money just isn’t coming. Don’t fret; every part-time (and full-time) entrepreneur has been there.

Spending your part time blogging isn’t the novel idea it once was. After investing your free time reading, learning, building, and writing, it can be frustrating to not see the results and is easy to get discouraged. The good news is, by attempting to take control of your financial future, you are taking strides to do something most people will never do. If you have made it this far and haven’t seen a dollar yet, I urge you to stick with it. While making boatloads of cash online isn’t as easy as some would lead you to believe, when you do find some success, it makes all of the time and effort all well worth it.

Honest Inventory

Take a critical look at where you are. It is no easy task to be objective when looking at a passion project, but this is an essential part of finding success in your endeavors. Take an outsider’s look at your subject matter, how you write about it, and make an honest assessment. If an outsider looked at your blog what would they say is the biggest issue?

Are you in the right niche, or in a niche at all? This might be the most important thing to consider. If you are in a highly competitive niche, you aren’t doing yourself any favors for someone who is starting out. By picking the correct niche you can save yourself a lot of trouble by having fewer competitors.

Is your site getting traffic? If you are hoping to generate your income from advertising and you do not have a staggering amount of traffic to your site, you need to reconsider your plan of action. There are not many (single) blogs out there that can generate a living wage from advertising revenue alone. So, stop barking up that tree if you are in this position.

This assessment can go on forever, from site design to mobile or social media strategy. I don’t want to you to get hung up here. Unless you are questioning your niche and don’t have traffic, you are ok. If those two things are an issue, you should probably go back to the drawing board and decide on a new domain or direction. Otherwise, if traffic is your only issue, join the club. What you can do in the short term is attempt to stand out from the crowd by producing what you consider being incredibly good content. Be a little more daring, opinionated, or possibly controversial (What do you want to say, but aren’t).

The last short term traffic bump can come from watching the trends. What are other people in your niche talking about? Use tools like blog aggregators (Technorati & alltop), and google alerts. Google alerts are essential for content creators; it is the easiest way to keep your ear to the ground for your topics, without burning your whole day trolling the web. When news is made in your niche, you need to give your two cents, or at least curate someone who is.

Another big pitfall to look out for is focus. My biggest problem starting out was the distribution of my effort. I tended to spend all my free time working 10 different projects. I would spread myself so thin, that none of my projects were up to a standard that I was happy with. Consolidate your efforts. If it comes down to it, pick the project that you have the most fun working on and run with it. Let the others suffer in the mean time. Chances are that if you enjoy it, it will show in the finished product.

Keep in mind the 80/20 rule. I learned this trick from Ryan Deiss, and have seen a consistent trend of successful people who use it. For those of you who are not familiar, it is the concept where you should be spending 80% of your time on what is actually making the bulk of your money. The remaining 20% goes to the other projects. Often 20% of your efforts will generate 80% of your revenue; by identifying that 20% you can save yourself a lot of headaches. There is a lot more to the theory, and I am not really doing it justice here, so look it up if you have never heard it.

Making Money

So, here’s the deal, simply having a blog isn’t going to be your main source of income. You have start thinking about revenue generation. There are a number of ways to achieve that. You can build an authority site, you can focus on lead generation and build a list, but today we are going to talk about products. The most effective way to monetize your blog is to start promoting products; an even more effective way is to promote your own products. This is arguably the most efficient way of generating passive income if done correctly. For many this can be a daunting task. But, it really isn’t as hard as it sounds.

The first step is deciding whether you will be dealing with physical or digital products. There is a separate path for physical products, so today I am just going to focus on digital products. For the part-time entrepreneur I think selling/creating/marketing digital products will be “lower hanging fruit” than physical products. If there is interest, I can write an article on physical goods and drop shipping.

Next is becoming familiar with the products in your space. Get an account with an affiliate platform (clickbank, commission junction, JVZOO, WarriorPlus). Take a look at the marketplace and sort the products for your niche by popularity or gravity. Go through the products to see what is out there, and what seems to be doing well. Make notes of products you like, are interested in, and what their rating/popularity/gravity is (you will use this later).

After having a grasp of what is out there, you can identify “holes” & needs for your niche. Start making plans for potential products. Try and dream something up that is feasible with a unique selling point, something that will set it apart from other products in your space. What would provide real benefit or value to someone with your interests? What would you buy? What do you know that others don’t? What problem do people in your niche experience often? Carl White just wrote an excellent article on how he fulfills the needs of different niches by utilizing facebook and linkedin groups (How to beat the big dogs at affiliate marketing contests).

What I would suggest if you are just starting out is a special report of some kind. You are obviously already familiar with writing, and most likely already have a good grasp on your subject matter.

Find a popular report like this in the market place that is selling well, and buy it. While reading through, make notes of structure, length, format, and the kinds of information covered. You can use this report as a guide when outlining your own product. Something to keep in mind is that on these affiliate-based platforms, the market is typically flooded with “me-too” products. You will need to distance yourself from the collection of similar products on the subject you are writing about. So, if there are already 5 reports out there on the subject you were thinking about and you don’t have anything that drastically sets yours apart from them, you should move on to the next idea.

After you have decided on a product and outlined it, it is time to roll up your sleeves and get to work writing (or building). In the mean time while you develop your product, you can implement other ways of generating revenue like affiliate sales and/or lead generation (list building).

Affiliate Offers

Get the notes you made earlier on products you like in your niche, and their popularity. There are a few things to think about here. If the gravity is really high on the product this is an indication that this product will provide some stiff competition when you attempt to promote it. Do some research on what/who you are competing with. If all of your choices have a lot of competition, you might need to go a little lower on the gravity results and pick something a little less popular.

Once you have decided on a few products you would like to promote. You can start building a plan of action. The easiest way to promote an affiliate offer is adding a banner image to your site linked to your affiliate link. These are often placed in your sidebar in a “text/html widget”. I would also suggest writing a review article on some of the features or sections of the product that you really liked. While you might want to frame this as a product review, keep in mind that you are ultimately writing sales copy. Copy writing is an art form, and can take a lifetime to master. A good short guide to the structure of a sales letter can be found here written by Perry Belcher.

Be sure to read my article on my clickbank youtube hack. If you do decide to create a video sniper, be sure to post the video on your site to take full advantage of the traffic you are already getting.

Promoting your product

Once your product is complete, you need to make a marketing plan. The nuances of marketing your product go far beyond what I can cover in this short article but, I will do my best to concisely cover the basics.

You will want to “prime the pump”. This entails dropping hints, and building as much buzz for the product as you can. You can do this with preview posts, social media blasts, and guest posting about the product.

Do your best to write a sales letter or hire someone to write your sales letter, following the outline I linked to above. Hopefully, you have promoted a few affiliate products by now and you have developed a “feel” for what works for your readers and what doesn’t. I would suggest making a dedicated page for your sales letter on your blog and not only making a blog post about it. Make sure your home page is featuring the product in some way (above the fold of the page), whether that is a featured post, banner, or block of content in the side bar. Call in whatever favors you can for promotion via email drops, banners, etc.

Promoting a product can (and will) be an ongoing endeavor, of optimizing, tweaking, rewriting, testing, and tracking. The brevity of this post has been a challenge as each paragraph of this article could be expanded into its own book. Hopefully I was able to illustrate the big picture of monetizing your blog.

Becoming a full time entrepreneur can be a colossal challenge, but with adequate planning and a clear vision you can set yourself up for success. Don’t make a half effort and then give up when you aren’t driving a Bentley a week later. These things can take time and dedication and more than just a blog. As I said earlier in this article, there are countless methods to get you to your goal, and today I covered one. One thing is for certain, stopping after you get your blog built is a mistake.

No SEO? Apply, and Be Patient!

Greetings.

If you’re anything like I used to be, you try out one of those search engine optimization  methods as postulated by those apparently in the know, then you go straight over to Google to see whether it’s worked!  Well I now know that with search engine optimization, patience is the name of the game.

Imagine the internet as a huge supermarket with virtually hundreds – perhaps even thousands – of products and services to offer for just one keyword alone. Sites, in their early stages of establishment, will not fare well with others who have been around for, let’s say seven years or so.

The strength of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can then aid these beginner websites in getting a higher position in search engine results. However, it takes time for SEO to show positive results, and potential clients would be better served if they knew and understood the factors that affect the SEO timeframe.

Keywords

These are the words used to initiate a search. Of course, more websites will try to rank for a keyword closely related to their content. The level of competition for a certain keyword affects the length of time for the optimization to take effect. If there are already a lot of websites ranking for a particular keyword, it is likely that new websites will rank low against old and more established ones.

****************************************************************************

Calling all bookworms – are you fed up with wading through all the stuff on Amazon? Well, go here for the best bits: http://bookswots.com/

****************************************************************************

Number of inbound links

Also known as backlinks, these can play a great role in increasing a website’s link popularity, thus securing a decently high rank for a certain keyword. Take this scenario as an example:

You have a new website, and you want it to rank high in search engine results. Start by looking for sites that have existed for five years or more, or sites that rank within the Top 100. Once you have several such websites, you can write guest blog posts with the permission of the website owner or administrator. That blog post should include a link or URL to your new website.

So, when a visitor enters those sites, sees the post that you have made and clicks on the link, you earn one page view. Now imagine that 1 view multiplied by hundreds, even thousands of visitors! Your website popularity and subsequent page ranking increase in the process.

Many say that the “Google slaps” of late have made backlinking far less effective than it was, but there is no doubt that when done properly they do still work well.

Content

In order for a website to rank high in the search results, the content must be fresh and updated regularly. Remember that search engines are still programs; they detect quantity rather than quality. You may have some great content on your site, but if the website itself is not updated, then your site will suffer.

Online presence

Strategies such as blog updates, e-newsletters, article syndication, and online press releases are just some of the strategies that build up a website’s presence on the internet. Search engines tend to detect a website that has established a strong online presence.

Age of the website

Believe it or not, the age of the website is also a factor for ranking. A site that has been around for more than a year and has a lot of content can be considered as having an established presence. It is then easy for search engines to rank that particular site in its results.

On the average, it can take three to six months for SEO strategies to obtain a desirable result. So, give SEO the time to work its wonders, and see the good results for yourself.

I’m very glad to report that one of my sites and Facebook fan page are at spots one and two of the first page of Google for the keyword term “presenting your future” out of 29,600,000 results – go ahead and check it out!  Both the website and the Facebook page were created six months ago.  Do visit the site, and don’t forget to ‘LIKE’ us on Facebook!

There Is No Time Like the Present to Create Your Future

3 Ways a Facebook Fan page can Increase Your Popularity

Greetings.

In these social media savvy times, it is important that online marketers are actually visible online!  One very effective way of ensuring this is to set up and/or enhance your Facebook fan page or pages.

I will be sharing a few tips on how to do this effectively in my next few blog posts, starting with this one:-

If you are responsible for marketing your business, then you absolutely must extend your efforts into the world of social media.  And if you are marketing through social media, you absolutely must create a Facebook fan page.  Facebook fan pages are different from regular member profile pages in a number of ways, and are the perfect way to increase awareness about your business and its offerings.  If you are still on the fence about Facebook and what it can do for your business, then you owe the fan page interface some serious consideration.  Here are three ways in which a Facebook fan page can increase your popularity:

Friends list limitations versus likes.  Facebook profile pages allow for only five thousand friends.  When you do get friend requests, you have to take the time to either approve or deny them.  Now, five thousand may sound like a lot of friends, but not when you are a business competing with businesses that have hundreds of thousands of customers and counting.  When you convert to a Facebook fan page, your “friends list” changes in a couple of ways: first off, the five thousand limit is lifted, and second off, you no longer have to approve new friends.  People simply hit the “like” button at the top of your page and they are automatically subscribed . . . which means everyone on their friends lists sees this activity in the news feed.

Advertisements.  Once you have a business fan page set up, you can take advantage of Facebook advertisements.  Facebook allows you to customize your ads to target whichever audience you choose.  Facebook ads are proven to be highly effective, and can be a great tool in your bag of marketing tricks.

Customized applications.  One awesome thing you can do with a Facebook fan page is create custom apps (or hire an app developer to do so) that allow your page visitors to perform a multitude of tasks right from the Facebook interface.  The options include selling your products directly from your fan page, and allowing page visitors to opt in to other offers linked to your business.  When you employ the use of apps, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination.

As you can see, you really cannot afford to be missing out on the myriad opportunities offered by a Facebook fan page.  And the best part is that it is FREE to set up a fan page.  For help designing an effective fan page for your business, connect with me on Facebook!

Should You Promote Residual Affiliate Programs?

Should You Promote Residual Affiliate Programs?

Greetings.

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income?
Or are you planning to set up an online business
but you still don't have any product to sell?

If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution
for your problems. With affiliate marketing, you
won't need to worry about the products you have
to sell. All you need to have is a website with
sufficient contents related to the products
of a certain online company offering affiliate
programs. By becoming a member of the program,
or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning
a certain amount of money right away!

At the end of this piece you'll see how you can
totally automate the process for phenomenal results.

Affiliate marketing is a business relationship
established between a merchant and an affiliate.
In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to
direct some traffic to a merchant's website.

If that traffic is converted into some kind of
action, like a visitor purchasing a product on
the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a
lead for the company, the affiliate who directed
the traffic will be compensated.

Compensation may take the form of either a percentage
sales commission for the sales generated or a
fixed fee predetermined upon the application of
the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program.

Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants
and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become
one of the most popular online marketing methods
today. In fact, almost every merchant or retailer
site today offers an affiliate program that any one
can join into. Most retailers would entice people
to become affiliates or members of their program by
promising great benefits like large commissions,
lifetime commissions, click through incomes and alot
of other benefits. But would all these affiliate
programs bring off the same benefits?

Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an
affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale
or lead you brought to the merchant's website.
Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs
are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of
about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay
you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic
you send to the merchant's site. Programs like
this often pay a smaller fee for every click
through, usually not getting any larger than
half a dollar. The good thing about this kind
of program, however, is that the visitor won't
have to purchase anything in order for the
affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual
income affiliate program. Residual affiliate
programs usually pay only a small percentage of
sales commission for every sale directed by the
affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission
often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales
commission. Because of this, many people ignore
residual affiliate program and would rather opt
for the high paying one-time commission affiliate
program. Are these people making a mistake, or
are they making the right decision?

We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a
mistake by choosing a high paying one-time
commission affiliate program. But we can
definitely say that they are making a large
mistake if they ignore residual affiliate
programs. Residual affiliate programs would
indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants
offering such kind of programs would generally
pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a
single affiliate initiated sale! That means,
for the same effort you made in promoting a
particular affiliate program, you get paid only
once in a one-time commission program, and a
regular and ongoing commission for a residual
program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual
affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or
are they still vague? If they are still vague,
then let's make them a bit clearer with this
example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both
offering web hosting services on their sites.
The first merchant offers a one-time commission
type of affiliate program that pays $80 for
every single affiliate initiated sale. The
second merchant also offers an affiliate program,
but this time a residual affiliate program
that pays only $10 for every single affiliate
initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get
attracted at once at what the first merchant
is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger
than $10. But by thinking things over before
actually getting into them, one may be able
to see that the second merchant is offering
us more opportunity to earn a larger amount
of money.

Supposing you have directed traffic to the
merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll
get paid once by the first merchant for the
sale you have initiated. But with the second
merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long
as the customer you have referred to the merchant
continues to avail of the web hosting service.
That means that for the same effort of getting
one customer to avail of the merchant's service,
you get paid monthly in residual affiliate
programs while you only get paid once in a
one-time commission type of affiliate programs.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting?
Definitely yes, because you virtually get more
money from these types of affiliate programs in
the long run! And would residual affiliate programs
work best for you? Probably not, probably yes.
It is not really for me to tell. But with the
benefits that residual affiliate marketing can
provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such
programs.

the hand and learn, step by step, the automated
income stream method, without breaking the bank?

Make Money with Writing, Blogging, and eBay

Greetings.

I’m going to show you three quick and dirty ways
to make income online, by working as much or as
little as you want, from anywhere in the world,
whenever you choose

1. Freelance Writing

Online freelance writing jobs are plentiful, if
you know where to look and can distinguish the
legitimate opportunities from the potential scams.

Most people don’t have a clue about the wide
variety of writing opportunities available to them
all over the Internet. These include writing
simple articles, press releases, and even complete
e-books.

Some clients pay upfront for your material,
offering a certain amount per word or per
assignment. Others will pay you per the hour for
other writing and publishing related tasks such as
proof-reading and editing web content.

Freelance writing networks such as “The Freelance
Writing Jobs Network” are a great place to start
looking for writing jobs and advice. And then
there are what I call “freelance matchmaking”
sites or “job boards” like Elance.com and
Freelancer.com.

On these sites, almost every day, thousands of
businesses post various types of writing projects,
gigs and requests. If you get aggressive in
applying for these open spots, then there’s a
virtually unlimited supply of writing
opportunities that can make you money relatively
quickly.

When starting, reply to as many project requests
as possible, offer to work at a reasonable rate
(but not dirt cheap), and be quick and responsive.

Landing that first gig is always the hardest
step, but once you’ve built up a portfolio and
some clientele, you’ll get more and more
consistent work.

The key to making money with freelance writing is
to quickly produce as many quality pieces as you
can for your portfolio, and then use job boards
and social networking strategies to promote your
writing. The more traffic you get to your online
work, the more companies you’ll have approaching
you to write for them.

Here are some additional tips when setting up
your portfolio:

i. Set up a professional web page with your
resume, contact information, and some writing
samples.

ii. Establish yourself as a reputable, talented
freelance writer by submitting only your best
quality work to potential clients.

iii. Network with other busy writers who may be
able to send extra work your way. Participate in
writers forums by writing useful comments and
including links to your website and online work.

2. Making Money with eBay

If writing is not your thing, then hop on over to
ebay.com and you can start selling almost anything
you can imagine within just minutes.

Imagine having access to 100 million
cash-spending buyers. That’s exactly the kind of
gold mine that’s waiting for you on eBay. It has
over 100 million registered users, all of whom are
out there shopping for great deals.

To become a successful eBay seller, first you
must first figure out what to sell. You can sell
your own items, check out trade shows in your
local area, or search online directories like
Doba.com and Alibaba.com to find hot products.

Here’s how to get the most out of your ebay
listings and auctions:

i. Create good titles and descriptions, and
include quality photos of the items. Write
descriptions that stand out, but do not make them
obnoxious by using all capital letters or
excessive punctuation. Also, be honest about any
defects in the items you have for sale.

ii. Consider starting your own eBay store for
selling large quantities, since they have a longer
run time than typical auctions. Participate in the
eBay community and read the forums to stay
involved.

iii. Other ways to get traffic to your auctions and
items for sale include creating an page
on eBay and linking to your auctions from other
sites. You also could register a domain name
dedicated solely to promoting your own auctions.

Once you find a hot product, keep selling it, and
then gradually find more and more products you can
promote. Over time, your income will grow
exponentially.

3. How to Make Money with Your Own Blog

Blogging is another easy way to make money
online. The secret to profitable blogging is to
focus on a particular, that is, your area
of expertise or a very specific subject that is
popular in the search engines.

Here’s how to get started blogging:

i. Like freelance writing, you should approach
blogging with the intent to write unique, quality
content. Offering useful information and
establishing yourself as a trustworthy resource to
your readers will quickly lead to lots of
word-of-mouth traffic to your blog. Readers can
tell if you do not know what you are talking
about, so do your research and focus on producing
quality content.

ii. Starting a blog is as simple as getting a free
account at WordPress.com, Blogger.com, or another
blog hosting site. You can also pay for a domain
name and hosting services if you want to
personalize your blog even more. I suggest you
start with the free options.

iii. Once you have established your blog, then you
can focus on monetizing it by incorporating
relevant ads through advertising networks like
Google AdSense or Chitika. Affiliate programs such
as Amazon also are becoming increasingly popular
ways to earn extra revenue. In addition, you could
sell private ads or review products on your blog.

iv. Promote your blog by utilizing social
networking opportunities such as LinkedIn,
Facebook, Twitter, and blogging forums. If you’re
creative, then you’ll find endless opportunities
to promote your blog throughout these social
communities.

===

Freelance writing, selling on eBay, and blogging
are only three of the many ways to make money
online. They might require an initial investment
of time and effort, but you are likely to see some
quick income and even huge profits in the long run
if you follow these hints.

“Pay-Per Click” Ad Campaigns: Earn More by Spending Less

What is “Pay-Per Click”?   “Pay-Per Click”  is an easy to understand
advertising strategy.  There are around 300 million searches at major search engines everyday.  This accounts for 80% of internet traffic.

Placing your websites on these search engines is very important in
reaching as many potential customers as possible.  But in order to be
seen and clicked most frequently, your website should be viewed at
the top of the search list.  Most people only reach up to the third
page of a search engine so the lower your rank, the lesser the
chance your site will be clicked.

Search engine optimization or SEO is the hottest way to drive
targeted traffic to your website.  Maximizing the benefits of a well
optimized website will yield lots of earnings for the marketer.

However, optimizing your site might cost you thousands of dollars if
you are not skilled in this area.

But to tell you the truth, you can essentially get information on
low cost SEO anywhere on the Internet.  But only a few really show
you how to work out an affordable search engine optimization
endeavor.

In “Pay-Per Click” advertising, you pay to be always visible on the internet.  You select keywords or key phrases about your website, and the highest bidder ranks the best.  There is no upfront cost.  You only pay after a visitor clicks your link.  This is why it is called
“Pay-Per Click”.

Everyday millions of people around the world click on Pay-Per Click
Advertising Campaigns.  With the booming internet industry and ever growing online businesses, an ad of virtually anybody on the planet can be seen on the internet, anywhere in the world, and for less than you would have imagined.

The “Pay-Per Click” advertising campaign is the premier growth area
in online marketing
.  Last year, an estimated $741.2 million was
spent on “Pay-Per Click” advertising.  The usual ‘organic’ search
engine optimization can take weeks or even months to produce
results.  “Pay-Per Click” advertising can attract customers in an
instant.  Why? Because, this cutting edge ad campaign can be placed
on any website and can be viewed by potential online customers,
anywhere, anytime and all the time.  The only challenge is placing
the ads on proper websites that will attract possible customers for
a specific product or services.

“Pay-Per Click” advertising campaigns attract the right consumers at
the shortest possible time.  This is the most cost effective way of
marketing products or services.  You can also monitor the customers
who visit your site, what they are looking for and what they are
buying.  With the right creativity in using the right search-phrases,
we can direct the right people who are willing to do business with
us.

“Pay-Per Click” advertising can easily be managed 24 hours per day
and 7 days a week through the internet.  This allows you to improve
the campaign strategy by effectively responding to the activities of
both customers and competitors.

Little Known Ways to Make Money Online

A lot of people are trying to make money online. Some become
successful overnight, while others tend to struggle with a variety
of ideas, just hoping to earn their first hundred bucks.

There are a lot of ways to make money online, but not all of them will work out the way that you want. You’ve probably already tried to earn some quick cash online yourself, but have not gotten very far. You might even be thinking of giving up and going back to work in the “real world” and gettin another boring, low-paying, dead-end job.

Fortunately, there are affiliate websites available that will not
only help you to make a legitimate income, but will also pay you for
doing almost nothing.

While everyone else is sweating and laboring, all you have to do is
tell people about your websites. Marketing is one of the easiest
ways to make money because everyone is being benefited. It’s also an
enjoyable experience. You’ll not only like the money you make, but
you’ll also love your job.

Internet marketing is more popular now than it’s ever been,
especially because it works. There is a lot of proof that internet
marketing works, all you have to do is read. Type in the terms,
“internet marketing” and “affiliate marketing” into your search bar
and see what comes up. If it didn’t work, it wouldn’t be around.

One of the biggest problems people have is that they believe that
marketing businesses online sounds too good to be true. A lot of
people may wonder, “all you want me to do is tell my friends, and
that’s it? You’ll pay me for that?”. The truth is that yes, in the
marketing business world, people are paid huge commissions for
simply spreading the word. What’s even better is that the main
company does all the work for you. It’s true that you are helping to
make them money as well, which is how everyone comes out happy in the end.

Unlike other ways of making money online, you are not paid a simple
2 or 3 bucks, but more like hundreds and thousands of dollars within
months. It’s hard to believe that this is possible because those
figures are so big. The only way a person can know whether or not
affiliate marketing really works is to try to make money online
themselves.

You can read all you want to about the success previous marketers have experienced, but you’ll never have that experience yourself unless you take the risk.

Why would there be so many people who claim to have had big success in the marketing world if it wasn’t a real way to make money? One has to wonder, how are they making their money? It has to be by some means, and if they have no job and all they do is market, then there is your proof.

It’s absolutely okay to be skeptical about it at first, that is what will make you a believer. If you’re looking for a way to make money online quickly (within days and weeks, not months and years), internet marketing may just be what you are looking for.

Selling on eBay – Getting Started

Greetings.

Following on from my eBay and dropshipping post,
many have asked how to begin selling on eBay.

You’ve probably heard about how much money can
be made on eBay.  With dreams of quick riches and
easy money, you are probably ready to jump in with
both feet – right now!  The best thing you can do if
you are serious about making money with eBay,
however, is to slow down.  In fact, just stop for a
minute.  Don’t rush straight in.  Take your time, and
do it right.

eBay has over 100 million members.  Think about
that number for just a minute or two.  When you get
your eBay business set up, that is how big your
customer base will be – instantly.  100 million people
– 100 million people who are just waiting for you to
get set up and running so that they can throw money
at you! Well, not quite.  It is true that there are over
100 million members, but at this point, they don’t
know that you exist.  In fact, no matter how well you
do on eBay, most of them will never know that you
exist. 100 million is a very large number.

The most successful eBay sellers started out as
buyers – and you should too.  This will give you a
sense of how everything works.  It will also show you
how things are from the buyer’s side of the fence.
Let’s call this period of time ‘consumer research.’
You are literally studying how eBay works, from a
customer’s point of view.  You may not realize this,
but this eBay buyer experience will actually make
you a much better seller – right from the very start.

Really pay attention to the customer service you
receive from the buyer.  Think about how you want to
be treated as a buyer, and take notes.  Take your
time during this process.  Interact with the sellers.
Get involved in hot auctions to see what they are
like.  In your spare time, start making notes about
the hot items that you see.  These notes will come
in handy later.

eBay works just like any other business.  You have
to determine what people want to buy before you can
hope to be successful.  There are very specific items
that sell really well on eBay – you just have to figure
out what those items are.  There are many
resources for finding out this information.  Start with
the lessons that eBay offers to their sellers.
Strongly consider attending the eBay University as
well.  This is the next step in the process. After you
have had the eBay buyer experience, it is time to
learn how to be an eBay seller.

Read all of the information eBay provides for you at
the site.  The information is free and you will learn a
great deal from it.  Take full advantage of this – before
you start setting up your first auction or your eBay
store! By reading through all of the resources, you
will avoid making numerous mistakes that so many
before you have made.  This is another step towards
building a successful eBay business.  Once you’ve
made it through the learning process, you should
know everything you need to know to get started
with a money making eBay business of your very
own.

eBay and Dropshipping – getting the Product to your Customer – with no financial risk!

Greetings.

Selling wholesale products is another form of internet marketing that does not involve downloading digital products (please see earlier posts in the Wholesale Products category).

Following on from that, why not have your own wholesale
business with your own fully stocked website with top
brand-named products?  Virtually all of the work is
done for you while you collect the profits.  It’s true –

Dropship can earn you money… lot’s of it!

The start up costs are very low, which is an obvious
plus if you’re just starting out, but that also makes
it attractive to long-time marketers who don’t want to
be fussing about with orders, shipping etc.

Now, if you hope to own an eBay business, and make a
full time living at it, you can easily make that dream
come true – even if you don’t have a product of your
own to sell.  eBay provides many people who want to
quit their corporate nine-to-five jobs with a way to
make a good living, without having to put up a lot of
start up capital.  This is made possible with the help
of drop shippers.  Drop shippers send merchandise to
the customers of business owners.  If you have an
eBay business, you are a business owner.  This will
allow you to offer a wide variety of stock in your
eBay store, without having the need to warehouse
all of those products!

All you have to do is set up your auction, and sellthe product.  You can even get ‘auction wizards’ on your own site that literally set up the auction for you with a few clicks of the button!

You then pass the customer’s information on to the drop shipping company.  The drop shipper does the rest, and they will even use
your company information, as well as your company
logo if you have provided it to them.  When the product
arrives at your customer’s home, they will have no idea
that your company didn’t send it.  The drop shipper
will package, label, and ship the products that you
sell, allowing you more time to set up even more
auctions, for greater profits.

You must establish a relationship with your drop
shipping companies in order to become successful.
In the beginning, most companies will require you to
pay for the items that your customers order before
they are shipped.  You need to fill orders in a
timely manner, so you should pay for the items with
a credit card for speedy service.  Eventually, you will
be able to have the drop shipper fill your orders, and
then bill you for them later.

When you set up your eBay auctions, make sure
that your reserve price is set higher than the price
that the drop shipper will be charging you for the
item.  The idea, of course, is to earn a profit!
Depending on the item you are selling, a markup
of about 10% should be about right, but you should
do some research to see if the item is selling for a
lower price in another eBay auction, or through
other online sources.

By starting an eBay business using the drop
shipping method, there is essentially no financial risk
involved.  The product will be sold before you pay the
drop shipper for the item.  This is one of the few
businesses where you can actually turn a profit
before you incur hardly any expenditure!

Creating Email Lists for Marketing Campaigns

Greetings.

If you plan to do some Internet marketing to promote your business endeavor, you should seriously consider email marketing as at least one tier of your Internet marketing campaign. Many business owners shy away from email marketing because they believe all email marketing campaigns are purely spam. However, this is not true and not partaking in this type of marketing can cause your business to lose out on a great deal of business.

By not appealing to potential customers via email, your business may lose a great deal of business to competitors who are using email marketing campaigns to reach customers around the world. However, the first step of an email marketing campaign should be creating an email distribution list. This article will discuss some popular options for doing this and should help you to learn more about what is acceptable and what is not when it comes to email marketing.

Once you have made the decision to start using email marketing to promote your business you are likely facing the dilemma of compiling an email distribution list. This is essentially a list of email addresses to which you will email your advertising and promotional materials. One common way to gain a list of email addresses is to purchase a list from distributors.

However, this method is not very effective at all and we do not recommend it. The problem with purchasing an email list is you have no way of knowing whether or not the members of the list would have any interest at all in your products or services. This is very important because while you want to reach a large audience with your email marketing you also want this audience to be members of your overall target audience.

When you purchase an email list you may be sending your email messages to some users who might be interested but this is largely coincidental and is not likely to be well received because the message was not solicited.

Internet users are very quick to delete materials they believe to be spam without even opening or reading the emails. In fact some internet service providers include spam filters which may automatically delete your emails if your messages are deemed to be spam. These filters run complex algorithms on the subject heading and content of the message to determine whether or not it is spam and are quite adept at weeding out spam. Therefore, you run the risk of having your email marketing efforts turn out to be a complete waste of time if the majority of recipients never even read or receive the message.

A far better way to create an email distribution list for your email marketing campaign is to ask current customers as well as interested potential customers to register with your website to receive additional information and periodic updates about your products and services as well as other information which might be of interest to them. This provides you with a database of email addresses from current customers as well as potential customers who have a genuine interest in your products and services and who are interested in learning more about these products and services.

Once you have a list of interested customers or potential customers you can send emails or create e-newsletters for distribution to the members of your email list. These documents should contain a wealth of valuable information as well as a soft sell pitch for your products and services. This information will be valued by the readers and may help to persuade them to try your products and services.

Email marketing has been made alot easier with the advent of ‘other people’s lists’.  There are many advertising sites that will allow you to post your messages to their own lists of highly targetted subscribers.  This is the writer’s preferred method as, for a few dollars (or sometimes completely free) you can reach thousands of like-minded entrepreneurs, secure in the knowledge that your messages will not be treated as spam.

You might also want to include in your messages useful links to either your website or other websites which may be of interest to your readers. Your content should also contain a portion which urges the reader to take a specific action such as making a purchase or at least investigating a product further.

Happy emailing!
