No SEO? Apply, and Be Patient!

Greetings.

If you’re anything like I used to be, you try out one of those search engine optimization  methods as postulated by those apparently in the know, then you go straight over to Google to see whether it’s worked!  Well I now know that with search engine optimization, patience is the name of the game.

Imagine the internet as a huge supermarket with virtually hundreds – perhaps even thousands – of products and services to offer for just one keyword alone. Sites, in their early stages of establishment, will not fare well with others who have been around for, let’s say seven years or so.

The strength of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can then aid these beginner websites in getting a higher position in search engine results. However, it takes time for SEO to show positive results, and potential clients would be better served if they knew and understood the factors that affect the SEO timeframe.

Keywords

These are the words used to initiate a search. Of course, more websites will try to rank for a keyword closely related to their content. The level of competition for a certain keyword affects the length of time for the optimization to take effect. If there are already a lot of websites ranking for a particular keyword, it is likely that new websites will rank low against old and more established ones.

Number of inbound links

Also known as backlinks, these can play a great role in increasing a website’s link popularity, thus securing a decently high rank for a certain keyword. Take this scenario as an example:

You have a new website, and you want it to rank high in search engine results. Start by looking for sites that have existed for five years or more, or sites that rank within the Top 100. Once you have several such websites, you can write guest blog posts with the permission of the website owner or administrator. That blog post should include a link or URL to your new website.

So, when a visitor enters those sites, sees the post that you have made and clicks on the link, you earn one page view. Now imagine that 1 view multiplied by hundreds, even thousands of visitors! Your website popularity and subsequent page ranking increase in the process.

Many say that the “Google slaps” of late have made backlinking far less effective than it was, but there is no doubt that when done properly they do still work well.

Content

In order for a website to rank high in the search results, the content must be fresh and updated regularly. Remember that search engines are still programs; they detect quantity rather than quality. You may have some great content on your site, but if the website itself is not updated, then your site will suffer.

Online presence

Strategies such as blog updates, e-newsletters, article syndication, and online press releases are just some of the strategies that build up a website’s presence on the internet. Search engines tend to detect a website that has established a strong online presence.

Age of the website

Believe it or not, the age of the website is also a factor for ranking. A site that has been around for more than a year and has a lot of content can be considered as having an established presence. It is then easy for search engines to rank that particular site in its results.

On the average, it can take three to six months for SEO strategies to obtain a desirable result. So, give SEO the time to work its wonders, and see the good results for yourself.

I’m very glad to report that one of my sites and Facebook fan page are at spots one and two of the first page of Google for the keyword term “presenting your future” out of 29,600,000 results – go ahead and check it out!  Both the website and the Facebook page were created six months ago.  Do visit the site, and don’t forget to ‘LIKE’ us on Facebook!

the ads on proper websites that will attract possible customers for
a specific product or services.

Here’s Why Paying For Your Traffic Is A Smart Move

Greetings.

There are so many success stories you will hear about businesses
making it good on the internet. The troubling thing is, there are
maybe a tenfold or even a hundredfold of stories contradictory to
theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business enterprise that
is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.

Is this through luck? Unlikely. It takes good business sense and a
lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness
to succeed and the determination to learn and the willingness to
invest in a lot of hard work and some money.

The Very Basics

Like Neo, traffic is “The One”. Without traffic, all your efforts
would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them
you wouldn’t have anyone to sell your products to. In the internet
world traffic is the walk-in customer. The more traffic you have the
more people you would be able to sell your products to.

But like any business that’s in every corner building or in the
mall, not everyone that goes in will buy, but the greater the number
that do come in to browse your merchandise, the greater number of
people that will buy your products. It is a simple and known fact.

But, how do you get traffic, traffic large enough that could make a
small percentage of eventual buyers enough to make a good profit?
Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a
measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small
percentage is enough to provide them with good business.

Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others.
Yes that’s right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising
is the key. The more people that knows that your site exists; the
more people would of course go to your site, that’s common sense.

While there are many ways that can get you advertising for free,
these do not generate the same high volume as those methods that are
paid for. These paid advertisements include advertising schemes by
Google and Yahoo.

The Value of Searches

The initial search will be the easiest and fastest medium in finding
what a person needs on the internet. Search engines have been very
popular because they provide a vital service to many people. They
are free and easy to use. With this popularity, they get many
visitors and clicks to the most common sites that people go to. It
is easy to understand why so many companies would pay to advertise
with these search engines.

Search engines provide information to the millions of users that
they have each day. They provide links to many sites that a user may
be looking for. If your sites link pop up in the high ranks of the
search results page, you get a great chance that they will go to
your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low
cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements
will ensure that you will be in the top ranks.

When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for your
traffic. This may sound like not such a good idea, but the payoff
tells a different story. When you pay for your traffic, you are
guaranteed a consistent traffic flow to your site. You will never go
with an empty sales day.

Paying for your Traffic

Usually, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets
when your ad is clicked, this is called pay per click. For some
search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad
shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is
imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are
many tools that aid you in using the right keyword for the right
moment.

All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for
naught. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also
result to a great boost in your sales figures. Paying for your
traffic would be a really good idea and you will get all the
benefits it has to offer.

The old addage that, “you gets what you pays for” holds very true
indeed – especially in internet marketing.
